“Beyond the Blue” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner It’s lonely in here. I feel small in this universe. And I’ve got so many years to go… Will you join me in here? We’ll travel through this universe reach across the stars for miles and miles, but at what cost? What about the ones I’ve lost? You fall in love so easily from the moment you get close to me. I’ll take you as far as we can go, farther than anything you know. But when it’s time for me to go, don’t say goodbye, just look to the sky! Well hello, my dear friend. Do you remember me? You don’t have to be alone in the end…. Beyond the blue…. Just look to the sky; I’ll find my way back to you! When you are lost, don’t be afraid. Beyond the blue, I’ll find my way…. (Find my way back to you!) I’ll take you as far as we can go, farther than anything you know. But when it’s time for me to go, don’t say goodbye, just look to the sky! I’ll take you as far as we can go, farther than anything you know. But when it’s time for me to go, don’t say goodbye, just look to the sky!

Control 03:32
“Control” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner Too many distractions; hard to think, hard to breathe. Too many infractions; hard to sleep, hard to dream… Dream. You blame yourself; I blame me. Hard to imagine what we see. We can’t get past. We can’t forget. We can’t let go. of what we can’t control. Too many bad decisions; hard to know we’d lose control. Too many deep incisions; hard to know we’d lose it all. You blame yourself; I blame me. Hard to imagine what we see. We can’t get past. We can’t forget. We can’t let go of what we can’t control. Can’t see it through, happening so soon. Can’t understand what happened to our plan. Thought you’d wait. Thought you’d see. Thought you’d be patient, or that you’d Fight for me! You blame yourself; I blame me. Hard to imagine what we see. We can’t get past. We can’t forget. We can’t let go. of what we can’t control. You blame yourself; I blame me. Hard to imagine what we see. We can’t get past. We can’t forget. We can’t let go. of what we can’t control. Control.

Fall in Line 04:07
“Fall in Line” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner You fall in line, set your weapons to the side following the herd, their orders are your guide. You fade away; as your memories disappear all your dreams are lost, but I can’t stop you. I can’t save you! Celebrate yourself. Suffocate your lies. You’ve got no one; but yourself to blame. Celebrate yourself. Suffocate your lies. You’ve got no one; but yourself to blame. Feel the consequence if you don’t live your life. You can run; don’t let them break you! I knew you then, before the world got ripped apart, when the ones you love were still worth fighting for. Wake up! The war’s not over. Celebrate yourself. Suffocate your lies. You’ve got no one; but yourself to blame. Feel the consequence if you don’t live your life. You can run; don’t let them break you! Celebrate yourself. Suffocate your lies. You’ve got no one; but yourself to blame. Feel the consequence if you don’t live your life. You can run; don’t let them break you! You can run; don’t let them break you!

Miles Away 03:02
“Miles Away” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner Think of all the times I called, and all the letters sent. I didn’t lose my mind, just my common sense. (Just my common sense.) We never stood a chance. When will you learn? so let the bridges, let the bridges BURN! I was there for you more than I can count, but you’re too busy wrapped up in yourself. You’re miles away! I could’ve used a friend, could’ve used your help, but you’re too busy wrapped up in yourself. You’re miles away! You never cared to ask How the story went. You passed the plot, And skipped right to the end. We never stood a chance. I was there for you more than I can count, but you’re too busy wrapped up in yourself. You’re miles away! I could’ve used a friend, could’ve used your help, but you’re too busy wrapped up in yourself. You’re miles away!

Now 03:21
“Now” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner Whispers from the hall. I can hear them calling, trading their white lies in exchange for mine. Thought I found the truth inside every bottle, ‘til I saw the worm hiding at the bottom. They say the only way out is through. I’m so confused. I can’t fall apart. NOW! Why stay in the cage? Why carry the burden weighing on my mind, if I am the warden?! They try to pull me into their game. I’m not falling for it! I think I might be losing my mind; Look who’s laughing. NOW! They say the only way out is through. only if it’s through you. I’ll walk right through you! I found a way out of this place, and I’m taking it! I found a way out of this town, and I’m leaving you. NOW! I can’t fall apart now.

Secret 03:46
“Secret” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner Hey, let me tell you a secret. I’ve been watching you for quite some time. Why … do you hide in the shadows? Do you feel safer there, when you’re hard to find?” I’ve been here for so long waiting for you. Thought you were alone, but you always knew. I was right beside you. I’ve been here for so long waiting for you. Thought you were alone, but you always knew. I was right beside you. Hey, can you keep a secret? I’ve been following you all this time. Why, do you run from your shadow? Don’t be worried, now, ’cause you’re all mine. (You’re mine. You’re mine, all mine!) I’ve been here for so long waiting for you. Thought you were alone, but you always knew. I was right beside you. You want me to love you? Want me to love you? ’Cause I do, I do, I do, I do! I’ve been here for so long waiting for you. Thought you were alone, but you always knew. I was right beside you. You want me to love you? Want me to love you? ’Cause I do…. I’d do anything for you! Oh, little boy. Come out and play. Praying to the light won’t save you. I make the rules. Time to obey. … I get what I want. You can’t run away. (You can’t run away!) I’ve been here for so long waiting for you. I can’t help but fall for you lately. You and me, we’ve gotta be ready. Take my hand, ’cause nobody’s looking into the shadows where I’m hiding.

“The War is Over”* © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner * Contains explicit lyrics. The sun is rising. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. I took a stance. You held your ground, but what is lost can never be found. It’s so easy for you to forget, but I feel regret. I feel regret. When you wake beside me, you feel peace. … But I need release. I need release! The sun is rising. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. I took a stance. You held your ground, but what is lost can never be found. The sun is shining. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. The sun is shining. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. I can’t forget the past the shrapnel from the blast. Some things can’t be undone. F**k me for being human! The sun is shining. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. The sun is shining. The war is over, but your love left me a wounded soldier. F**k me for being human.

This Poison 03:33
“This Poison” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner One story ends, another begins. Let’s hear your testimony…. It’s inside our blood, chosen by fate, our hunger to satiate. I can’t get enough, can’t get enough, can’t get enough, of this poison. Feels like a drug. The damage is done. I can’t outrun this poison. Chance played a role, not yet revealed. Made a mistake, my fate was sealed. I can’t get enough, can’t get enough, can’t get enough, of this poison. Feels like a drug. The damage is done. I can’t outrun this poison. Now I know, we share the blame. All it cost was my good name. I can’t get enough, can’t get enough, can’t get enough, of this poison. Feels like a drug. The damage is done. I can’t outrun this poison.

Try 03:21
“Try” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner I’ve let them down again dropped everything and ran; a hundred miles from home, I see a face I know. From the crowd, he smiles, but I just turn away. Why give a broken girl a chance on her dying day? You know you’re beautiful, beautiful to me. I can’t help myself from trying. You know you’re beautiful, beautiful to me. I can’t help myself from trying. How can I forgive? On my knees again. I’m going out alone, the same way I came in. Then he takes my hand, pulls the nails away. Somehow from beneath the smoke will rise another day! You know you’re beautiful, beautiful to me. I can’t help myself from trying. You know you’re beautiful, beautiful to me. I can’t help myself from trying.

“Watch You Fall” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson 2010–2015 | Music by Jason Reed Milner Through all your promises your broken promises, I’ve waited long enough. You can’t reach me. Through all your promises, your broken promises, now there’s nothing left you can teach me. Hold tight to me I’d hate to see you slipping... see your pride ripping. I see through your lies, your dirty alibis. Not at your beck and call. Can’t wait to watch you fall. Watch you fall. I can’t wait to watch you fall watch you fall watch you fall I can’t wait to watch you... can’t wait to watch you can’t wait to watch you. Through all your push and pull silly parlor games, Finally found the boy behind the mystery man. Through all your push and pull times you never changed, it’s time to drop the mask; live up to your name. Hold tight to me I’d hate to see you slipping... see your pride. ... I see through your lies, your dirty alibis. Not at your beck and call. Can’t wait to watch you fall watch you fall. I can’t wait to watch you fall watch you fall watch you fall I can’t wait to watch you... can’t wait to watch you can’t wait to watch you.

Without You 03:19
“Without You” © The Sweetest Condition 2015 Lyrics by Leslie Irene Benson | Music by Jason Reed Milner Behind the wall, there is a land a place for us to play pretend. We have no rules, no consequence. All is well; it all makes sense. We need to leave. The time is near. We must go, but you’re not here. All we planned has passed us by, now I’ve no more tears to cry! How can I go on?... I can’t live without you, keep breathing without you. Without you. Without you. I loved you so long! I can’t leave without you. I’m nothing without you. Without you. Without you. You are my rock, when I can’t stand. You shield my heart inside your hand. You are the calm that comforts me. You are the one who sets me FREE! How can I go on?... I can’t live without you, keep breathing without you. Without you. Without you. I loved you so long! I can’t leave without you. I’m nothing without you. Without you. Without you.

about

“Edge of the World” follows The Sweetest Condition’s 2013 EP, “Truth & Light.” Dual-parts sinful and sensual, hopeful and bleak, “Edge of the World” is an 11-song commentary on humanity, anti-conformity, self-loathing, and dream chasing — a danceable catalyst for transformation. The album reveals visceral stories, lashing synth riffs, chorus hooks, and stabbing guitars, paying tribute to iconic sounds of the ’80s and industrial muscle of the ’90s. At its core, the music is raw, unforgiving emotion.

“Edge of the World,” the debut album by The Sweetest Condition, was released independently worldwide on August 28, 2015. Since its release, the music has been featured on radio programs around the world, including Communion After Dark (on iTunes’ What’s Hot list). The Sweetest Condition was recognized by GEWC (German Electronic Music Charts) in September 2015, and Dark Horizons Radio named the band Artist of the Month in October 2015.

PRESS REVIEWS:

"From start to finish, 'Edge of the World' tugs at the heartstrings for those with a love for the dance-friendly, sing-along synthpop of the ‘80s, toughened up with a hint of ‘90s industrial/rock tinges and darkwave atmosphere. … Comparisons to the electrified goth/rock of The Birthday Massacre mixed with the darkly engaging electro-pop of The Azoic or Collide are sure to resound.” –Ilker Yücel, ReGen Magazine, Baltimore, MD, May 19, 2016

“Music that uses hooks to sneak into your psyche before making it’s home in your head and your heart. Sweetly seductive and seriously sinister. It’s an iron fist in a velvet glove. There are darker edges to some of the material and it definitely has substance, but [there are also] fantastic eighties-style melodies given muscle with 21st century production and perspective.” —Sean Cooper, Alternate Parallel Reality, Australia, April 20, 2016

“The Sweetest Condition without a doubt adds to the synthpop genre, mixing many different elements from ’80’s and ’90s pop and industrial rock, with relatable styles to Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails.” –Trent B. Minia, 24OurMusic, Montreal, Quebec, Album Rating: 8.2/10

"‘Edge of the World’ is a complete package, with its song order constructed to ebb and flow, most satisfying to listen to in order, from beginning to end.” —Geoff Wilbur’s Music Blog, Boston, MA, March 17, 2016

“‘Edge of the World' is an incredible album that is filled to bursting with the sort of music that could easily dominate the dance-floors. These are all songs made with care, passion and purpose.” —John Crofts, Johannesburg, South Africa, 925|Rebellion, March 12, 2016

“Solid electro-pop elements really make this a great work for fans of The Azoic and The Razor Skyline.” —Gothic Paradise, California, May 31, 2016

“Definitely one of the most solid, well-done albums in the electronic, goth-ish, dance music [genres]. Each song is very accessible, has thought and meaning, and is melodically pleasing. 4.0/5.0 stars.” – Morte McAdaver, Feb. 24, 2016

“Insistent grooves and powerful, surging choruses … a potent aural cocktail. … Lyrically, love and war are common themes and seemingly interchangeable, both causes of pain, regret and deep wounds.” –Christopher Nosnibor, Whisperin’ and Hollerin’, York, UK, and Schull, Ireland, May 29, 2016

“Best songs: ‘Watch You Fall,’ ‘Now,’ ‘Secret,’ ‘Control.’” —Inferno Sound Diaries, Side-Line Music Magazine, Belgium, Feb. 7, 2016

“This is top-drawer industrial-synthpop that is well-produced, has a killer hook and had me hunting out the album after one listen.” –Adam Williams/DJ:Traumahound, A Model of Control, “Tuesday Ten: 248: Tracks of the Month,” London, England, Feb. 2, 2016

“‘Edge of the World’ shines with a unique dark electronic style, strong female vocals and polished production. … Strong instrumental arrangements; powerful lyrics that tell engaging stories.” —Chuck Frey, Modern Synthpop, Wisconsin, Jan. 12, 2016

“11 dynamic tracks that inevitably draw the listener on the dance floor. Prompt, rousing melodies and the clean, clear production. A little darkwave, plenty of ’80s charm, and industrial-influences of the ’90s. The Sweetest Condition has a knack for catchy, electronic dance music. Earwigs are guaranteed.” —Conny Ohm, DeepGround Magazine, Germany, Dec. 19, 2015

“‘Edge of the World’ takes the listeners on a grand voyage into synthpop conceived on the influences from the ’80s synth era and a bit of industrial touch. What makes this album a whole package is a strong dance beat they are unwilling to abandon throughout the album.” —Marija Buljeta, ALTvenger Magazine, Nov. 19, 2015

“Overall a good album; one of the best of the year. Rating: 5+/6 Stars.” —Dr. Doom (Christian Ehlert), Nightmare-HorrorMovies, Germany, Fall 2015

“'Edge of the World' follows the band’s 2013 five-song EP 'Truth & Light,' featuring 11 tracks that the band describes as ‘commentary on humanity, anti-conformity, self-loathing, and dream-chasing—a catalyst for transformation.’” —Ilker Yücel, Editor-in-Chief, ReGen Magazine, Aug. 20, 2015

“Most of the disc trends more synth-pop, with the NIN-esque harsh edge called upon less frequently but judiciously. Throughout the disc there’s perhaps as much Thompson Twins, Human League, and Eurythmics in the mix, stylistically. Overall, ‘Edge of the World’ is a well-written, lyrically and musically interesting disc that relies on a solid balance of rhythm, vocals and controlled power to bridge the gap between its genre (industrial synth-pop) and a broader listening audience.” —Geoff Wilbur, Geoff Wilbur’s Music Blog, Boston, MA, March 17, 2016
